It was early morning in the flying village of Amagakure no Sato. The sun had just entered the sky and people were beginning to exit their homes and begin their daily routine. However, not everyone was moving just yet. Inside his quiet, somewhat empty, dark apartment sat a lone man. His dark grey skin made it hard for anyone to see him unless they turned on the light. He wore a traditional ninja gi, and a mask covered his mouth and nose. He sat in a meditative stance, his eyes closed while he breathed very quietly. Slowly, he rose, his eyes opening. On his back were a pair of swords. A katana and a wakizashi, while several kunai and shuriken remained hidden in his gi. Quietly, he walked to window and opened it. Climbing out of it, he jumped onto a roof and began to run. Run to the wilderness so he could begin to train. He made little noise as he ran and jumped from building to building, thus, no one really noticed him. However, more and more people were beginning to arrive, making more and more noise. Grunting to himself, the shinobi hastened his pace, not wanting to stay any longer. It took a few more minutes until he was out of the village gates. Nonetheless, he continued onward, leaping from the wall to a tree branch.

On and on he went, jumping from tree to tree. The sun shown brightly, with some light managing to pierce past the foliage. Various animals inhabited the forest floor. Raccoons, mice, snakes, wild stray cats and dogs. All living together in this enviroment. Eventually, he came upon a clearing. Though not exceedingly large, it was a perfect circle, with trees growing around it, allowing sunlight to fully brighten up the area. This is where Sozaemon stopped. Landing on the ground, he leaned against a tree and manage to gain his breath back from the long, non-stop travel. Now, it was time to train. Walking to the middle of the circle, he slowly removed the upper portion of his gi, dropping it onto the soft grass. From there, he took both of his blades and attached their sheathes to his right-side. Slowly, he unsheathed his katana, holding it with both hands in a standard kenjutsu stance. With that, he imagined numerous enemies around him, armed with kunai and blades of their own. They were angry. They were taller than him. He didn't care. He immediately charged at the closest one. The "man" attempted a down-ward slash at the shinobi, but Sozaemon was quickly, and did a quick horizontal slash to his throat, cutting it open. He then quickly flowed onto the next "person", stabbing him in the stomach.

The night would seem like it would last forever until finally, the sun would come out. The rays of the sun would peek in through dray’s slightly opened window as his alarm would blare loudly making him consider wanting to smash it in pieces. Kages never had days off from work but he had chosen today for his day off hoping nothing would ruin it. He would climb down the bed and sit on the floor to meditate as was his every morning routine. Few minutes later, he would get up and walk calmly into the bathroom as he would stand there confused. The life of the rich was terrible. He was contemplating if he should go into the bath tub or just run the shower. Not wasting any more time, he would turn on the shower and have a quick bath. He would emerge from the bathroom and dry the water droplets on his body with a large towel. He would put on another set of his casual wear. He would slip into his black leather pants and buckle his belt letting the large golden bird head of the belt to show. He would out on his black leather boots that had solid soles that were said to be able to crush an insect with the slightest step. The joutenkage would pick up his blue coat that had yellow linings along it’s edges and put it on while buttoning up today. He would pick up his twin beast from where they were kept as he would put them on over his long sleeve making it look smart as if the sleeves were tucked in the vambraces. He would pick up his ninja pouch and cross check it before strapping it to the belt around his waist. Dray would exit his room as the shinobis standing guard would look surprisingly as to why dray had his leather coat buttoned up today. He would walk into the living room while telling the maid not to worry about his food but the maid who was carried away by the thoughts of why her master had buttoned up his coat would not hear what dray said. Dray would exit his mansion as the day was just beginning to start with everyone going about their daily businesses. He already knew what he wanted on a day off and that was to be alone. His every morning meditation helped a lot but it was not as good as having hours of quiet to himself.

Dray would accelerate as he would lift off the ground, running on rooftops and jumping from tree to tree. The day had not fully begun so nobody was sure to notice and even if they would, they would only see a whim because dray’s speed was at a certain standard. The joutenkage would keep moving forward at high speeds as he would get to the village gates and give thee guards a certain signal as they would nod and continue their duty. Dray would exit the village gates as he would keep running, jumping from hill to hill and whatever platform that wasn’t level ground. The sun was almost fully up and dray was very close to his destination. Just a few meters forward and he would be inside the forest. It was a forest that was familiar to him. He had had tons of training in this particular forest and he had grew an attachment to it so what more could be better than sitting in the trees and listening to the animals, the running water, the blowing wind and what else was an inhabitant of that forest. Dray would step into the forest as he felt like he had stepped into another world. He would slow his steps so as not to startle the animals. The animals who had come to be familiar with dray’s scent, chakra and what else was on him did not seem to mind, they just went on with what they were doing knowing that he meant no harm to them. Dray would walk farther into the bush till he came to a clearing that he recognized very well. Everywhere in the forest was formerly covered with vegetation but dray made the clearing for his training so he could never forget. He would hop into one of the trees and lay his head against the tree while breathing in and out slowly. Just then, he would hear movements in the trees. Had someone being following him? He would not move, he would just lay still. His position was not an easy one to spot so he had no cause to move away. From his place in the trees, he would see a man land on the floor in the clearing. He was dressed in typical ninja attire and dray knew just who he was. There were hardly anyone in amagakure who ran around in old ninja attire. It was Sozaemon. A man who had stumbled upon amagakure and offered his skills in exchange for food and shelter. Dray of course accepted the man and put him in the ranks and it was now clear that the man was here to train as dray would see him remove a clothing and withdraw a sword while slicing at an imaginary figure.. “You would need more strength in that strike.. sozo” dray would say as he would jump down the tree and land onto the ground lightly as he would then lean on the tree while standing.

The "man" yelled in pain as the sword piereced his stomach, with Sozaemon ripping it out and the moving on to another man, blinding him with a quick slash to the eyes before stabbing him through the neck. The "massacre" kept going on and on, with Sozaemon killing more and more "people" until he heard some. A real person, speak to him. In a second's notice, he quickly turned to the scource of the voice, sword drawn, and Sozaemon in a standard kenjutsu stance. However, the moment he saw who it was, he dropped his stance, his eyes narrowing at the person. It was Dray Yuki, the Joutenkage, the man Sozaemon worked for. Resheathing his sword, he spoke. "You do not know my strength, Mr.Joutenkage." Sozaemon spoke with his usual monotone, emotionless voice. Sozaemon stood a full 5 inches below Dray, and most likely weighed much less than him. Nonetheless, the shinobi didn't exactly care for him so much as a leader, rather as a employer. In-turn for Sozaemon's service, he was given food and a place to stay. Nothing more, nothing less...atleast in Sozaemon's mind, that's how it worked. "What are you doing here? Is there something that needs to be done?" The shinobi continued, always ready to take another job. Though he didn't have a high view of money, everyone else did, thus, making it a must have in-order to live.

Dray would wait for the ninja to turn to him after what he had said. Dray had always known sozaemon to be faithful to the village and hardworking after he had been accepted. He always executed his missions without mistakes. Dray of course had long discovered that sozaemon did not regard him as the joutenkage rather he regarded him as someone he received a job from and dray had no problem with that so far missions were done and every other thing were going the way they should. The ninja would hear dray’s voice as he would spin around with his sword drawn and standing in a perfect stance. Dray had had a little experience with sword fighting so he knew that sozo’s stance was as strong as a horses’. The shinobi finally knowing where the voice came from and who it came from, he sheathed his sword, stood straight and did not look dray straight in the eye perhaps, it was a sign of his respect. It looked official though. “You do not know my strength” Sozaemon would say to dray in response to dray having earlier said that he needed more strength in his strike. Dray of course knew what sozo was capable due to him having access to his shinobi file but still, dray did not exactly believe in paper works. Experience often prevailed. The young man would proceed to ask dray why he was here and if anything needed to be done.. Dray knew that sozo was always ready to go on a mission but there was nothing of such this morning. If there were actually a mission for sozo, it would have a be a very important one for dray to come all the way here and find him. Instead, dray would hold sozo to his first sentence.. “You do not know my strength, Mr. Joutenkage.” A little work out would not be too much for dray this morning as seeing as sozo was also just beginning his training, the both could have a little spar that would help them both learn something no matter how little it would be.
“Nothing requires your attention as of now, sozo but rather, I want to know what you mean by I do not know your strength. Perhaps, you have evolved without my knowledge so I want you to show me this new strength that I do not know of sozo so come at me when you are ready..” Dray would say to sozo while standing upright beside the tree and about five meters away from sozo with his arms crossed. Waiting for the shinobi to come at him with his sword.

The man....this man...wanted to spar with him? Why? Why would he have a interest in him? Though thinking this, Sozaemon showed no outward reaction, simply nodded in silence as he walked toward his gi and put it back on (as it was where he had his shuriken and kunai). After that, he resheathed his katana before standing there, staring at the Joutenkage in silence. He was observing him, watching his body. He knew very well that this man was far above him in-terms of power. He was a kage afterall. Knowing this, Sozaemon decided he should be cautious in fighting him, and that perhaps close quarters combat wouldn't be the best plan of action. With that, he quickly did a handseal before lowing his mask and spewing a very large cloud of smoke into the area, in hopes it would at least distract the kage for enough time so that Sozaemon could move. With that, Sozaemon then attempted to quickly jump and climb into the nearest tree, attempting to hide amongst the foliage.

It had been a while since dray had sparred and he now hoped that sozaemon would put on a good fight. The ninja was one that possessed skill so dray was ready to expect anything. He stood there folding his arms seeming to fool his opponents that his guard was down but in actuality, it wasn’t. His exact aim was for them to charge into him. The temperature was mild and the birds began to tweet and sounds of animals were heard as the forest seemed to awake. The birds settled on tree branches as they seemed to have come out to watch a spar between kage and shinobi. Dray had the means of winning the fight quickly since he was stronger, faster and he had more varieties of technique more than sozaemon, unarguably but if he did win in an instant, what fun was there to it or how else did he expect to help soza get better so he was going to try and prolong the fight and see if the ninja would get to his limits soon enough.
Dray watched the ninja walk back to where he had dropped his gi, the traditional ninja attire as he put it on. Dray observed him closely and saw him sheath his katana perhaps he was not going to spar with dray or maybe he was deceiving him. Whichever way, dray would know soon enough. The ninja performed some hand seals, one that dray knew too well as he spewed out a large cloud of smoke from his mouth encompassing the area in smoke that would hurt the eye and the throat too. Knowing this, dray would begin spinning wind chakra around him so fast that upon its release, the wind jutsu would disperse the smoke screen and send several numerous wind blades into the area but then, soza was no where to be seen.. “Hiding eh.. Hide well then cos I am coming” After soza had spewed the smoke cloud, dray heard some birds fly away from a tree so that would mostly mean that soza was up in that tree. Dray would turn to the angle of the tree and perform some quick hand seals as he would create a cyclone and send it ramming into the tree with the aim of bringing down soza and not hurting him, just yet.

jutsu:

Sozaemon somewhat expected the Joutenkage to handle the smoke very easily. It was a simple technique after all. Most normal genin would naturally know it. Thus, it came no surprise to Sozaemon at how fast the Joutenkage could cancel it. What he didn't expect, however, was also how fast he managed to find out where Sozaemon was hidden. It became apparent to the shinobi then that he isn't as simple minded as he looks. As the tree quickly began to double over, Sozaemon jumped from it and high into the air (about 17 meters due to the height of the tree) and quickly reached in his gi before throwing six kunai at the Joutenkage's direction, having grabbed three kunai per hand and placing them between his fingers. Once he would land, Sozaemon would then begin to at the Kage, hand his blade's handle.

Four of the six kunai managed to hit the Joutenkage, with two stabbing him in the chest (one on his left right pectorical and the other two inches below it, and the other two hitting him in the shoulders. Having already began charging at the kage, he focused his chakra into his body and got a great speed boost, moving atleast two times faster than he was before. Once he was within in range, he unsheathed his blade with great speed and slashed the kage on his right side as he past him. Though the cuts and stabs inflicted on the kage were hardly serious, there were inflicted nonetheless, something that even Sozaemon didn't quite expect. Thus, now behind the taller man, Sozaemon held his blade and got into a kenjutsu stance, awaiting for the joutenkage to make his move.

385 chakra:

Dray attack hit the bull’s eye as  the tree was hit hard causing it to  fall over and in that moment, sozaemon leaped out of the three and surprisingly he had managed to maneuver in the air and launch about six kunais at dray before he would land unto the ground. The kunais weren’t much of a problem but dray did  not want to play god so  he would  receive some hits if that would  inspire sozaemon to fight more seriously. Dray dodged two  of the kunais as he  let two of the kunais hit him in the chest and the other two in the shoulders. The kunais did not hit anywhere dangerous and his muscular self did not even feel the pain of four little projectiles stuck in his skin so he just  pulled them out with ease and no pain at all though little blood had come out of his skin. As dray had thought, taken the hit had probably inspired sozaemon as the young man was now charging at dray with a faster speed than before. As he got within range of dray, he unsheathed his blade and ran right past dray with his sword dealing some damage to dray’s side as dray pretended to be too slow to react. He hadn’t taken hits in a long while so maybe taking a few hits would do but that was it. The ninja stood behind dray right after his attack met but that was his mistake.

“Never hesitate until your opponent is down.. This mistake would cost you pain..” Dray would say to sozaemon who was just a few inches away after his attack.  Not moving from where he was, dray would perform a jutsu that didn’t require hand seals as the area would be covered in a certain kind of mist that affects the eyes and throat of those within it but dray could of course resist it. As soza would be caught within this mist and have trouble seeing, dray would cover his palms with ice in the shape of a bear’s mouth as he would charge for exactly where soza would be due to him being able to see properly in the mist. He would them clamp both of soza’s arms and thighs thereby covering them in frost bites that would seep into his skin as soza would have to choice but to fall to the ground except there was a way for him to evade the attack. Dray would wait and see how skilled the shinobi was.

“Never hesitate until your opponent is down.. This mistake would cost you pain..” With that, Sozaemon almost instantly knew he made a mistake. He quickly noticed the mist forming, but it was too late. The mist had was already blinding him and burning his throat. With this being a very bad situation, Sozaemon had to react fairly quickly. He jumped back, putting his fingers on his head as he then he released a burst of blinding light, in hopes of stopping the Joutenkage with whatever he planning to follow-up with. If the light actually effects him, Sozaemon would proceed to do another jump out of the mist, finally gaining his sight and speaking ability back. However, if the light has no effect on him, the Ice Bear's head would comedown on his arms and thighs, the ice causing major burns and penertrating slightly into his skin as he would then fall on the ground, unable to move.

The mist enveloped the area pretty quickly and Sozaemon would not be quick enough to evade it without getting hurt. The jutsu was not meant to cause any real damage to Soza rather the jutsu was for auxiliary motives. Once Soza was trapped, then Dray would close in for an attack. He had earlier received some hits from Soza to make the fight look fair because he was unarguably stronger than Soza was but he had not really planned on attacking him if not he would have done something to put an end to the spar but right now he was enjoying the efforts that Soza was putting up and Dray did not want to end it much quickly so perhaps a little more toying with Soza’s tail would do even though Dray knew that his opponent did not take it as such. With heightened senses, dray could hear Soza’s sound like he was choking but not really. Dray was sure already that his opponent was entangled in his little spider web and he had already activated the bear hands technique but before he could turn back to clamp Soza’s arms and legs, a blinding light was released from behind him as the light seemed to reflect on his vambraces, the twin beasts. The intensity of light that shone through the vambraces indicated to Dray that it could be blinding if it was looked at directly so Dray closed his eyes and swiftly spun around with a wave of his right hand hoping to clamp any part of Soza in the process and with luck, Soza’s right arm seemed to be the victim of the attack but the shinobi managed to jump out of range in time to avoid receiving frost bites to other parts of his body but Dray himself was far from done yet.

Once Soza had jumped backwards, dray would look at his vambraces to see if there was still any reflection but it was gone as dray would proceed to attack Soza again. Performing a few hand seals at blinding speeds, Dray would spit out multiple balls of suiton towards Soza hoping he would find a way to deal with them as the suiton balls were over a dozen. As Soza would be busy avoiding or blocking the suiton balls, Dray would smirk at the thought of a technique that he had been wanting to test for a very long time but he had not gotten a chance. Performing the necessary hand seals, a sealing formula would erupt in the form of five chakra chains out of Dray’s right palm and aim to bind Soza. It was all a matter of if he would see the chakra chains on time and be able to react to their speed. If not, he would be bound by Dray and he would have lost the fight.

It seemed that, even as Sozaemon finally managed to make it out of the mist, the attacks did not let up. Not being able to even react to the attacks, Sozaemon felt numerous balls of water pelt his body, one after another. Though not enough to cause any serious damage, they definitely were gonna leave bruises all over his body. Even after the assault ended, the attack was far from over. Chains bound Sozaemon together, making him fall on his side as he dropped his sword onto the ground. Sozaemon was now unable to continue, unable to even move in his binds, making breaking out out of the question.

Soza face met defeat and Dray could see that he faced it well. The water balls hit his body though none were going to cause any serious injuries rather than bruises and the likes. As was Dray’s lovely strategy in battle, he always loved to use auxiliary moves before putting the trump card in place. Like an experienced player, he liked to move his pieces over the board silently and place them where he wanted until he was ready to use them so basically he could lead his opponent where he wanted them to be without them even having any idea that he was indirectly controlling them. Since the beginning of the battle, he had been planning to corner Soza like a rat cornered by a cat and he had starting with getting him off that tree and putting him in plain site but now it was certain that this spar was over and that Dray was the victor as was expected. Once the numerous water balls hit him, he was still able to stand his ground impressively until the chakra chains hit him and bound him, all wrapped up like a ball of wool. Soza was done for and if it was an actual battle, that was going to be the end of his existence because Dray could easily go in for the kill.

Dray walked towards the bound shinobi that was laying on the floor due to him being immobile. Dray stood inches away from him even though he was aware that Sozaemon could possibly do nothing right now but he still liked to be cautious. “A nice spar we just had and I would not deny the fact that the skills you had exhibited all along were impressive. You do know from the beginning of the spar that the victor was me but you still fought not letting it weigh you down.” Dray would withdraw the chains as he would continue speaking to Sozaemon. “You have seen your flaws and it is up to you to fix them. I’ll always be ready to spar with you anytime, Soza.” Dray would conclude as he would hop unto a tree branch and make his way out of the forest and towards the village. It had been a long morning and he probably had much work to do at the admin office but spending some time with his comrade was a moment he always wished to repeat.
