Today was a rather simple day, like all the others. It was the late afternoon, the sun was setting, and many people were beginning to head home. Zaiaku had already finished doing his paperwork in his office and decided to come out here and wait. Wait for what, you may ask. Well, recently, Zaiaku had decided to hold his own squad of genin to train. I mean, why the hell not? He had nothing else better to do. His son was off, away from the village since he was training to be a monk and Kodo, his hyena, was a lazy ass, so why not? With that, Zaiaku made a squad and finally had someone assigned to him. Out of coincidence, it was a young man he met sometime ago on the street. Baki was his name or something. He was homeless and Zaiaku, being the compassionet man that he is, motivated him to become and ninja. Who would've though the kid actually went and did it? Feeling almost proud, Zaiaku smirked. He was currently in Training Ground 57, a strip of land located under Yokuchigakure in the Undergroudn Oasis, fenced off for training. With that, he leaned against the 20 foot fence as he waited for Baki to come, wanting to see his reaction at seeing him again.

He had just came from the general store and bought a meal of shushi and sweet dumplings as he had them in his bamboo box that they served them in there with his pair of chop sticks that he had in his pocket. He placed his food within his bag and he placed his hoodie over her head and placed his hands deep within the confines of his pocket.

It was two years a week ago, that he came to this village as an orphan with nothing but his life and the clothes on his back. And despite the fact, they still took him in and saved his life because who knew what could have happened to a young boy on his own in this world? As he came from the shop, a middle aged woman walked up to him and said hello, asked him if he was Baki and when he replied 'yes' he took the letter from her. He read it and it was a person that he did not know inviting him to training ground 57. He remembered it from his days in the academy but knew that the higher ranked ninja would use there. Now it was this that made his heart start to beat faster. Would he be involved in a fight? His palms all of a sudden started to get sweaty as he told the woman that he will be arriving shortly.

Soon enough, he arrived at the place and at first all he saw was a figure in the distance. It was large and burly as Baki continued walking towards the figure knowing no doubt it was this one that sent the message.

"Oh my God...I hope I don't end up getting hurt."

Zaiaku continued leaning back against the fence. All he was really wearing was his black shorts and kage hat on his head. A simple cigarette was in his mouth, with grey smoke coming his nose in a exhale. Bored out of his mind, Zaiaku looked to his right, only to see a very familiar young man in his presence. A small smile appeared on his nonhuman face as he took the cigarette out his mouth and held it between his index and middle finger. He walked towards the young man who identified as Baki. "It's been a long ass time, huh Baki?" Zaiaku asked with a smile, holding his palm up as he promptly rubbed his cigarette out on it, putting it out before gently patting the young boy on the back. "How have things been?"

Baki's eyes widened...his feet had literally felt cold and he felt as if a dangerous creature was about to swallow him. All his memories had started back to flood towards the time when he had fainted. He could not believe he would ever see the guy ever again. His very appearance had made him weak in the knees. And then when his body could not take it any more....once again when the man spoke to him, he fainted...

Zaiaku could only blink in surprise and confusion at what happened to the boy. He fainted! Right out of the blue too. Zaiaku, in turn, left out a awkward sigh, remembering that this was his first reaction when the boy saw him some time ago. "No fuckin' chill...." Zaiaku mumbled as he crouched down next to Baki's unconscious body. He grabbed the young boy by his collar, lifting his up until he was near his face before gently tapping his face with his free hand. "Hey...hey...Baki....kid....wake up.........come on dude.....wake up!' He would say as he continued to tap his face, attempting to wake up Baki without hurting him with his great amount of brute strength.

It was a vision just as he always had before. He was walking with his father and his uncle and they were walking in this wheat field and his hands brushed against the heads of wheat as he followed them on their way. They came to a river, and across it was his mother, always smiling in the same way when she came to him in his dreams. She was wearing the same clothes that she was buried in and just seeing her made his heart feel so heavy and sad. She called across the river to them and just as always, his father and uncle began floating across the river towards her. The his father stopped and turned back to him. He was much taller than Baki and he knelt down and started to tap his face and tell him to wake up. Something his father had never done when ever they met in his dreams. His father kept looking at him in the eye and continued tapping his face to wake up. As he started to regain consciousness, he realized it was the strnge man trying to revive him. As weak as he was, the man's face and realized the man was trying to revive him. Baki pulled away from the man while his but dragged on the ground as dust kicked up as he pushed himself backwards a few yards to keep distance between himself and this man. As he observed the man before him again, he realised he was wearing the Kage hat. Was it just a prop or was it for real?

"I...I think you sent me for me." said Baki nervously, not once looking the man in the eye.

Finally, after a good few minutes of basically baby slapping the kid on the face, he was beginning to come too. Good think too, he seemed to be having a good dream and Zaiaku was beginning to fear that he was going to drool all over his arm and himself. However, his reaction upon seeing Zaiaku did not exactly help the situation, what with him escaping Zaiaku's gripped and backward crawled a few yards away to gain distance. Zaiaku merely blink, simply deciding to ignore the boy's reactions. The giant than stood, crossing his arms, looking dignified in his kage hat as Baki began to speak. Zaiaku was quiet for a moment before letting out a rather tired yet, annoyed sigh. "You don't remember me, do ya Baki. I'm the Kouyakage. Guy who convinced ya to become a ninja since I didn't want you to be homeless. That ring any bells?" Zaiaku asked as he scratched his chest casually before stretching. "Anyway, you been added to my squad. I am now officially your sensei and shit. So........yeah...welcome aboard bro." Zaiaku said with a awkward smile, showing off his completely nonchalant and casual attitude towards the entire ordeal. Serious, what was so wrong?

Baki was speech less. All the time spent in the academy he would hear the other students taking about how they wished to be taught by some great sensei. Here he was standing before the kage himself. And now he was telling him that he was not only going to be a shinobi of the village but a student of the Kage. Baki was indeed humbled. He thought about his dead father and uncle and how proud they would be if they were alive and could see him today. Baki knew that the road would be hard because this man may be unforgiving and a harsh man, Baki could not know for sure.

"I...I am truly lost for words sir. All I can tell you is this..." Said Baki as his face showed his resolve, "I will do my best for the village"

Ugatta knew this was the day. He glanced at his calender to reconfirm it. Yes it indeed was today. After so many years of killing for a worthy cause, he can finally retire from his double life; or so he thought. He did his usual morning ritual of doing push ups, squats and jogging in place. Then getting something to eat, take a shower and take up his bottle of sake and headed out. Ugatta knew where to go since the Kage told him of where the meeting place will be. Training ground 57; the grounds that most of the elites were always using. Today, Ugatta knew was about to take his first step for himself and the village. All he wanted was to make his master proud. He took his last sip of sake since he did not want to drink in front of the kage himself. There he was, tall and imposing as ever, and freakishly large. Ugatta walked up to the group early enough the hear the kid talk about doing his best for the village. A fine spirit to have but words are just words to Ugatta. In this world, actions are what truly count. He would not say anything about this to the young boy until when it is appropriate.

"Kouyakage sama...Ugatta Kai reporting for squad duty at your request." said Ugatta respectfully as he gave a bow to his Kage.

A cold sweat ran down Zaiaku's head. Did this kid have amnesia or something? Deciding not to question it, rather focusing on what the young boy said. "Then make it proud Baki. Make it proud." It was then Zaiaku heard someone approaching. Turning to his right, he saw a man walking up to them. He was rather tall for a normal man, being maybe 2-3 feet shorter than Zaiaku. He had a long ponytail. After putting some thought as to who he is, Zaiaku remembered. "Ah, I almost forgot. Baki, this is Ugatta Kai, a kenjutsu practitioner. He is your squad mate. Ugatta, this is Baki, he specialises in taijutsu. From this point on, you two are allies and I'm your sensei." Zaiaku said as he crossed his arms. Well this was coming along nicely. Who knows, they might just become great protectors for Yokuchigakure someday. "I want no bickering, name calling, mocking, or any other bullshit, got that." Zaiaku said, almost like a vulgar parent. He didn't want any sort of bad blood between the two ninjas, afterall.

This is great...another person bigger than I am. He's older than me too. *sigh* Well at least he's supposed to be on my side. Ugatta Kai eh? He's a swordsman? Just like the Kage they both look as if they have taken many lives. All I have seen is death. I really hope this guy is formiddable as he looks. They both gave him the chills and they being on my team not helping at all. Man oh man...what to do? What to do?


"Hi..." said Baki as he offered his hand for the swordsman to shake. Baki now realized that he maybe should not have done that. He did not know this man and now he was going to have physical contact with him. "Uh...nice to meet you!" shouted Baki as he said it louder than he really meant to and forced a smile. "Kage sama, we won't have bickering sir!" Baki knew he sounded like a fool but he could not help it. It was just who he was. When others would walk up to others alll confident and everything, he would simply try to visualize his face was in a paper bag just so he would not pass out off of anxiety when speaking to someone new.

Ugatta looked at the boy as he offered his hand in a gesture of being friendly. He was not the type to like those that sounded as if they were trying to draw attention to themselves. People like that would always compromise missions that they were going to undertake as a team. However, he reasoned that at one time he maybe looked like this boy; full of life and determination that no one could have taken away from him. And so he also shook Baki's hand then replaced his hands at his sides. Ugatta was unsure of what the Kage planned for them. He listened to the Kage's words and knew that to be a well oiled machine that a squad is supposed to be, there is not supposed to be any internal fighting.

"Agreed." replied Ugatta as he looked at the Kage and then at Baki.

Zaiaku grinned, looking at the two boys. It seemed that this was going to be a steady enough relationship between them, which was good. It was dark now, the setting sun have now disappeared and being replaced by the crescent moon. Refraining doing a "Oh this is romantic joke", Zaiaku spoke again. "Well, in that case, I want you two to fight me in CQC, close quarters combat. No jutsu allowed. Not tonight at least. I want you two to work as a team to take me down, if ya can." Upon saying that, Zaiaku suddenly leaped away from the duo with intense speed, with the chance of both them noticing it immediately being very unlikely. He was now about 5 meters (15 feet) away from them, facing them. He stood there with his hands at his sides, grinning. "Remember, cooperate or get your asses beat, choice is yours. Now, if there ain't any questions....", he suddenly got into a boxing stance and began swaying to and for, akin to many boxers, "Bring it!"

It was just as he feared. He should have thought about it more since this was indeed a training grounds. Baki did not want to fight, as a matter of fact it was something he would do everything to avoid a fight. Now he was in a bind, not only did he have to fight, but he had to fight the Kage. Even if this man was going to be working with him, he did not seem like a team player and knew that he could not depend on this guy. He knew whatever plan that was formulated in his head, he had to do it on his own while using the other guy as a shield. But all the same, Baki did not want to fight at all.

"Sir...uh,I don't think that's a good idea. I am not ready to fight." complained Baki as he looked at the Kage.

If there was a way that he was going to sit this one out and just let Ugatta fight the Kage by himself. Then maybe, he will attack when he saw an opening of some kind.

Ugatta's eyes shifted to Baki as he spoke and wanted to know if this man was really serious. He had been waiting for a good fight where he can go all out and not worry about killing the opponent. He was going to fight the Kage after all. He wasnt about to pass up the opportunity to test his own strength against the village leader. He removed his sword and let it drop into his hand and tossed it a few feet away while his vision was fixed on the big guy. If it was hand to hand combat he wanted then he was not going to back down. He was definitely going to give him what he wanted. Not wanting to loose the chance, Ugatta dashed thunderously towards the Kage and delivered a two high kicks to his face and and two low kicks to the kage's legs to start off.

"Cmon Baki! Just give it your best shot! This is to test out and see what skills you have!" Zaiaku said in a friendly voice, hoping Baki will at least try to do something. After saying that, he focused on Ugatta who came charging at him. Smiling at how brave and ready the you chunin was to fight, Zaiaku decided to engage him. Noticing that Ugatta was lifting his leg, possibly to try and kick him, Zaiaku immediately reacted, and did a dempsey roll to the left, avoiding the high kick as he then lashed at Ugatta with his left hand, which was open rather being a fist since he did not want to hurt his student. Using the built up torgue and his own insane brute strength, Zaiaku would then attempt push him by his side, having enough power to easily bring him off his feet and send him to the ground about 1 meter away, restraining from using his full force. If this strike were to land, Ugatta will, as explain earlier, would be sent of his feet and land about 1 meter away on the ground, stopping him from even executing his low kicks. If he were to somehow evade it, though it was very unlikely, the kicks would then land but not deter Zaiaku very much.
