PostSubject: Maxing out REA [Reaction Training, S3 - SS2 21,990/21,500]   Thu Dec 10, 2015 3:17 pm

Kinzoku spent long hours staring at fast things, like hummingbirds, and fish in the nearby streams. He kept his eyes trained on the animals as best he could, doing his best to follow and track their every movement. Kinzoku figured reaction time would be the hardest of his skills to train, even harder than lifting heavy weights or slamming himself into the ground, or letting a gang of kids beat on him with broom handles and 2x4s.

Again Kinzoku employed the help of these same kids, who'd all come to grow fond of the yellow eyed shinobi. They stated that they knew about his past, as did alot of others they associated with, but none of them cared about it, because they all thought he was "pretty cool." This time, Kinzoku armed all of the kids with knives and told them to do their best to stab him. All were worried, but again, Kinzoku assured them that nothing bad would happen should one of them manage to stab him.

The dodge session began. He used the skills he learned in watching the fast fish and birds to keep his eyes peeled for knife swings. He side stepped a swing at his chest. He ducked under a swing at his head. He jumped over a swing at his legs. He leaned back from a swing from the ground up aimed at his chin. He commando rolled past two swings aimed at him from opposite directions at the same time. He leaned from side to side to avoid rapid strikes from multiple kids.

He jumped backwards to avoid swings. He jumped forward to avoid swings. He went low, he jumped airborne. Often times he would roll across the ground, perform cartwheels, and do front and backflips. Most of the time, he avoided the knives, but sometimes he was nicked.

This would continue on for long moments, with Kinzoku being nicked and scratched more than once. He side stepped a swing at his chest. He ducked under a swing at his head. Kinzoku gave the kids a chance to catch their breath, and also to check the damage they'd done, which was little to none, before they continued on. He side stepped a swing at his chest. As usual, Kinzoku decided to mix things up, and borrow a page from his speed training. Arming the kids all with rocks again, he dare them to try and hit him with them. The kids threw rocks at Kinzoku. He ducked a rock aimed at his face. He side stepped a rock aimed toward the chest. He leaned to the side of another rock aimed at the head. He raised his right leg to avoid a rock aimed toward the thigh. He side stepped a rock aimed toward the chest. He leaned to the side of another rock aimed at the head. He raised his right leg to avoid a rock aimed toward the thigh. Kinzoku was grazed and even hit several times, but the more this went on, the more evasive and agile he felt himself becoming.
